Witnesses testified on national, state and local perspectives on the need for federal transportation infrastructure investment and priorities for the next surface transportation authorization bill. Vermont Deputy Transportation Secretary Sue Minter said projects in her state have already been delayed due to uncertainty over the federal highway trust fund. Chair Boxer (D-CA) said that fund could run out of money in September 2014 if Congress does not act. close
