Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) talked about the budget deficit and national debt, and possible ways members of the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction might reach agreement before their November 23 deadline. 
Senator Coburn released his own report suggesting cuts of $9 trillion over 10 years. He was also a member of the “Gang of Six” that proposed $3.7 trillion in deficit cuts over 10 years.
