Missouri Senate candidate and current Representative Todd Akin made an announcement about his campaign. In the aftermath of his inaccurate comments on rape and pregnancy, several members of Congress called on Representative Akin to withdraw from the race, and National Republican Senatorial Committee Chair John Cornyn told him the party would not give him campaign funds. Representative Akin answered questions from the press in attendance.
