Gail Pressberg talked about the book she wrote with Pam Solo, The Promise and Politics of Stem Cell Research, published by Praeger Publishers. The book traced the history of the stem cell research issue from 1998 to the present. She discussed the important role the stem cell issue played in 24 of the 2006 midterm elections and commented on the passage of a stem cell research bill in the House of Representatives earlier in the day. She also answered questions from the audience.
