The panel talked about the relationship between courts and corporations by answering the question: "Can Corporations be Brought Back to Courts as a Dispute Resolution Mechanism? Should They?". Corporations have largely operated outside of the judicial system in resolving commercial disputes. Topics included the cost of trials for corporations, the risk of having complex legal arguments before a jury, social norms, and strategies for convincing corporations to use traditional litigation. The panel answered questions from the audience.

Supreme Court Justices Souder, O’Connor (former), and Breyer were in attendance in the audience. close
