Activists briefed the media on issues important to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community and the importance of the gay vote in the 2000 elections. Among the issues they addressed were grassroots organizing efforts, several state ballot initiatives, and potential voter turnout in the elections. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience.
