Scholars of the Clinton administration spoke at the plenary session of the 11th Hofstra Presidential Conference, “William Jefferson Clinton: The ‘New Democrat’ from Hope.” They discussed their writings on demystifying the Democratic Leadership Council and its unnamed founder, Alexander Hamilton; former President Clinton as a public philosopher and party leader; and the rebirth of the Democratic Party’s internationalism. After their remarks, members of the administration held a panel discussion. Following the discussion, the panelists responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. Professor Rosenbaum moderated the program. close
