Dr. Robert Morris talked about his book, The Blue Death: Disease, Disaster, and the Water We Drink, published by HarperCollins. He warned about the dangers of polluted drinking water, which he said is a serious problem in America and around the world. He recounted a history of unsafe drinking water from a 19th century cholera epidemic in London through more recent examples, such as a 1993 outbreak of cryptosporidiosis in Milwaukee and a 2000 outbreak of E. coli in Canada. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.
