Ms. Armstrong spoke about her book The Battle for God, published by Knopf. The book focuses on the nature of fundamentalist movements in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, among others, and the relation between fundamentalism and political and social turmoil. She also examined the cultural and economic roots of fundamentalist extremism. After her remarks she answered questions from the audience.
