Senator Burns spoke about the telecommunications agenda for the Communications Subcommittee. Among the topics on the agenda were eliminating unwanted electronic mail known as spam, competition in the wireless industry, privacy issues, and emergency services communications. Following his remarks he informally answered questions from reporters in the audience.
