Former NASA Astronauts talked about changes made to testing and safety procedures on future shuttle missions as a result of the Space Shuttle Columbia accident. Pamela Melroy, former astronaut and deputy project manager of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board (CAIB), also talked about how both the families of the Challenger and Columbia accidents viewed the shuttles' remains.

This event was part of a conference hosted by George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs on the 10th anniversary of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. close
