A roundtable discussion was held on the different topics, issues, and methods used to teach American Western history as well as the direction of the academic field. Professor Warren asked questions submitted by members of the audience.

“Fifty Years: Reflections of the Past & Future of Western History” was the Presidential Session of the Semi-Centennial Celebration of the Western History Association “Modern Histories of Ancient Places.” It was held in the Oakland Museum of California. close
