Mark Skoda, founder and chairman of the Memphis Tea Party, talked by video uplink from the National Tea Party in Nashville, Tennessee. He talked about the National Tea Party’s goals and its legislative agenda; its role in the 2010 midterm elections and other major state and local elections nationwide this year; the controversy surrounding the event; Sarah Palin’s speech tonight before the convention; and a look at the demographics of the National Tea Party’s membership. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.

Jeff McQueen, a volunteer at the National Tea Party, gave an update on the convention and the number of people attending at the beginning of the program.

Current political cartoons were shown at the end of the program. close
