Former Senators Bob Kerrey (D-NE) and Jack Danforth (R-MO) talked about Congress and the federal budget. Twenty years ago both were members of a bipartisan commission examining Social Security, Medicare, and tax reform. In this forum both senators agreed that the upcoming decade would be critical and urged 2016 presidential candidates to make the the budget the top priority of their political campaigns.
