House Majority Leader Representative Dick Armey (R-Texas) moderated a meeting of economic experts who talked about tax reform and simplification. Among the issues they addressed were the viability of a flat tax, other methods to simplify the tax structure, and popular support for tax reform. Throughout the meeting participants answered questions from the audience. Participants in this forum included Grover Norquist, President of Americans For Tax Reform; Lawrence Lindsey, National Economic Adviser; and Glenn Hubbard, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. close
