Diplomatic and security officials testified on the Syrian refugee crisis in which 2.3 million Syrians have fled the country since the outbreak of the civil war. Aid to host countries like Lebanon and Turkey as well as aid to the refugees was considered. Topics included the destruction of Syria and the length of time aid would be needed.
