Cases discussed: Sable Communications v. FCC challenges whether “dial-a-porn” services can be banned by Congress. Browning-Ferris v. Kelco disputes the awarding of punitive damages in a civil case. (See Supreme Court Review, 12/10/88) Webster v. Reproductive Health Services challenges the opinion of Roe v. Wade. A speech recently given at the Campbell School of Law by Sarah Weddington, attorney in the 1973 case, is shown. Washington Legal Foundation v. Justice Dept. is an effort to eliminate the closed-door decision-making process of the American Bar Assn. in rating lawyers. These ratings are used by the Justice Dept. in selecting federal judges.
