U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg reviewed the 2006-07 Supreme Court term at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals Judicial Conference in the Sagamore Hotel. Cases included Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire and Rubber which concluded that workers cannot sue employers over unequal pay due to discrimination allegedly occurring years earlier, and Gonzales v. Carhart which concluded that the late term abortion ban does not have to include an exception for the health of the mother.

She also talked about being the only woman on the Supreme Court.

Justice Ginsburg oversees the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers the states of New York, Connecticut and Vermont. close
