The University of California, Los Angeles, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences hosted this event. UCLA welcomed the Academy to the University with opening remarks regarding the future of Communication. The “Superhighway Summit” was designed to explore future communications issues. Speakers included Reed Hundt, Chair, Federal Communication Commission, and Richard Frank, Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences. Speakers discussed the future of electronic media. Mr. Frank talked about how Television has evolved. The speakers all predicted the future of Television and how persons will be able to play video games, call up any program that they are interested in, etc. In conclusion, no one really knows for sure what the future of Television holds. close
