Phil Shabecoff, an Editor with Greenwire, and Francis Spivy-Weber, a member of the National Audubon Society discussed the results of the recent United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, better known as the Earth Summit, which took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in June 1991. The Earth Summit brought together leaders from many countries to focus on global environmental problems. Mr. Shabecoff and Ms. Spivy-Weber commented on brief excerpts of speeches from the conference. close
