In the second of a two-part discussion on the 25th amendment, From Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina, participants discussed the balance between the public’s right to know about the president’s health and the president’s and presidential family’s right to confidentiality. They also discussed how different contingencies could be handled which are not outlined in the amendment. The 25th Amendment outlines the presidential succession should a president be declared disabled. Former President Gerald R. Ford took part in this discussion. close
