Witness testified on how to best promote both peace and justice in Darfur and support implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA). The CPA is a peace treaty between North and South Sudan until 2011, when the people of Southern Sudan are, under the terms of the CPA, to hold a referendum on the question of unity or separation. Topics of the hearing included the state of human rights, the current state of genocide, and the Government of South Sudan (GOSS). close
