Attorney General Eric Holder testified on the government's gun smuggling sting "Fast and Furious" operation." The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ran the operation between 2009 and 2010 with the goal of bringing arms smuggling charges against Mexican drug cartel members. In the process, hundreds of firearms were allowed the cross the border, and later found at various crime scenes in the U.S. and Mexico.
