Attorneys argued the case for and against Washington State’s recently passed initiative limiting terms of office in Congress at the U.S. District Court in Seattle. U.S. Senators would be limited to 12 years and House members would be limited to 6 years according to the law. Two cases, Thorsted v. Gregoire and Colony v. Munro, were consolidated into one case. The attorneys for each side made their arguments before U.S. District Court Judge William Dwyer. close
