Frank Ackerman talked about the Nevada State Railroad Museum, the history of Nevada’s Virginia and Truckee Railroad, and the railroad’s growth that paralleled Nevada’s mining industry in the mid-1800s.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2013 LCV Cities Tour” in Carson City, Nevada, from July 8-12 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter Communications local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. close
