Ms. Blyth talked about her book, Spin Sisters: How the Women of the Media Sell Unhappiness and Liberalism to the Women of America, published by St. Martin’s Press. In the book, the author discussed the liberal slant that she believes pervades the work of women in the media, such as Diane Sawyer and Katie Couric. Ms. Blyth also examined the women’s magazine industry, arguing that it promotes the idea that women are the overworked victims of a stress-filled world. Following prepared remarks, Ms. Blyth responded to questions from the audience. close
