Colonel Gerstein talked about his book, Leading at the Speed of Light: New Strategies for U.S. Security in the Information Age, published by Potomac Books. He proposed overhauling the nation’s security strategy, which he claims is still based on an Industrial Age framework of the National Security Act of 1947. He argued that it is very important to implement complementary changes to the U.S. approach to strategic 21st-century leadership in light of globalization and Internet technology. He responded to audience members' questions.
