In this second annual conference on presidential rhetoric, speechwriters for Presidents Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush discussed writing presidential speeches. After individual presentations on the speech writing process, they examined issues such as who is ultimately responsible for the content of presidential speeches. They also took questions from the audience. close
