Newly elected as House Speaker, Rep. Hastert talked about the issues that he said the people of the U.S. are concerned about including Social Security, education, tax cuts, and benefits for the armed forces. He stated that the Congress is going to work on these issues. After his prepared remarks he took questions from reporters.
