The opening session of the 2010 Southern Republican Leadership Conference featured Mary Matalin, Newt Gingrich, J.C. Watts and Liz Cheney.

Liz Cheney, who was introduced by Mary Matalin, criticized President Obama on health care reform, foreign and nuclear policy, and intelligence gathering. In her remarks, she said, “The Obama administration is putting us on a path to decline.”

Former Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts talked about tax policy and federal debt.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich rebuked President Obama on health care legislation and the economic stimulus, calling him “the most radical administration in American history.”

There were technical difficulties during Liz Cheney’s portion of her speech. close
