The panel consisted of journalists who had covered the Civil Rights Movement. They focused on the aftermath of the Civil Rights Movement from 1968 to 1987. The people that they talked about were politicians, activists, and otherwise ordinary people. The panelists talked about the effect that the media had in reporting and shaping the Civil Rights Movement. The reporters talked about their most memorable stories of the movement. They emphasized the effect of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
