White House Press Secretary Jay Carney responded to questions about the decision of the Russian government to grant a one-year asylum to former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden. He said that the administration was extremely disappointed by that decision. Reporters also asked questions about the government’s surveillance programs revealed by Mr. Snowden.
