Rep. Pence spoke to students and interns about conservative leadership, the principles of limited federalauthority, and recent movements by some conservatives away from principles of fiscal discipline and smaller government. He had recently led an effort called “Operation Offset,” a strategic move to delay and cut several federal expenditures in order to provide aid for recovery and relief to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience. close
