Kenneth Bacon gave a speech entitled “On Our Watch” discussing the situation in Darfur and issuing a call to action to the students in the audience. Peter Bechtold gave “An Introduction to the Problem” with a brief overview of the history of the region. He asserted, based on his 40 years of experience in the Sudan, that the situation in Darfur is not a genocide. Colin Thomas-Jensen discussed “How is the International Community Responding?". He discussed what the international community has done in Darfur, and what they should do in the future. Peter Bechtold and Colin Thomas-Jensen answered questions from the audience and debated whether or not the situation in Darfur is a genocide. Justin Zorn finished the program by discussing "What can you do?” about the opportunities to help that are available to high school and college students.
