Vice President Gore presented the second monthly award for simplifying language in government regulations to the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management. Director Shea thanked the vice president and commended him for his efforts to reform government. Comedian Franken did a brief skit about his “Uncle Morrie” writing the original complex regulations.
