Kenneth Timmerman talked about his book Countdown to Crisis: The Coming Nuclear Showdown with Iran, published by Crown Forum. He discusses what he sees as the growing threat that Iran poses, through its nuclear weapons program, to the security of the United States. Mr. Timmerman says that despite the widespread belief that Iran played no part in the 9-11 terrorist attacks, there were a number of meetings between Al-Qaeda officials and members of the Iranian government prior to 9-11. He argues that Iran should be banned from the international community for their poor human rights records just as South Africa was before remedying their record.
