The historian of the United States House of Representatives presents a history of the United States from the American Revolution through the Civil War, Reconstruction, the Great Depression, and September 11, 2001.
Robert Remini is an emeritus history professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and is the historian of the United States House of Representatives. Mr. Remini is the author of several biographies, including John Quincy Adams, Daniel Webster, and Henry Clay. He received the National Book Award for the final volume of his three-volume biography The Life of Andrew Jackson.
