Former and present television executives met to discuss the presentation and content of local television news based on a recent survey that showed more Americans get their news information from local outlets rather than national sources. The panel discussion was entitled "If It Bleeds, It Leads", which is a popular axiom of local television news. Marlene Sanders, Media Studies Center moderated the panel which discussed the evolution of local television news and how decisions on programming are made. Following their discussion the panelists took questions from the audience. close
