Nuclear Security Summit Preview
Matthew Bunn talked about the possibility of terrorist groups getting the materials needed to make a nuclear bomb. The Fissile Materials Working Group (FMWG) held a briefing on the upcoming nuclear security summit and President Obama’s goal of reducing the U.S. nuclear weapons arsenal. FMWG is an organization committed to working with the Obama administration to secure all nuclear weapons. Among the topics addressed were the Obama Administration’s 2010 Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) released that day. It outlined significant reductions in the U.S. nuclear arsenal.
