Attorney General Michael Mukasey talked about national security and efforts to combat terrorism. In his remarks he focused on detainee treatment and access to the U.S. legal system for suspected terrorists at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and suggested that Congress enact several new laws granting access and specifying rules for trials. He responded to questions from audience members.
