State and local officials spoke about the state of high school education at an educational summit on the need to improve secondary education. Panelists addressed a number of issues including high school ranking systems, pilot projects undertaken in various regions, teacher and staffing issues, and improving education for minority and low-income students. They responded to questions from members of the audience.
