Justices heard oral arguments in the case Schwarzenegger v. Entertainment Merchants, docket number 08-1448, which focused on the state’s ability to restrict the sale of violent video games and manufacturers free speech rights. The name of the case was changed to Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Association in January 2011, when Jerry Brown replaced Arnold Schwarzenegger as the governor of California. close
