The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee heard testimony on school safety. In the wake of school shootings in Colorado, witnesses testified about measures to prevent youth violence. They testified about several programs including after-school activities and supervision, academic programs to build communication and social skills, peer counseling systems, community policing, and school uniforms.
