The committee continued to hear testimony from Senator Donald Riegle (D-MI), one of five Senators under investigation by the Senate Select Ethics committee for allegedly receiving campaign contributions from the head of a savings and loan in return for interfering with federal regulators investigating the financial affairs of the savings and loan. Senator Riegle’s testimony continued from the morning session. close
