Witnesses, including tax and retirement policy experts, talked about the gap between how much Americans were saving for retirement and savings needed after retirement. Suggested incentives for more Americans to save for retirement included Senator Hatch’s plan, called Start K, which would allow more businesses to offer retirement savings plans and making the tax code less complicated.
