Witnesses testified regarding Gulf War illnesses and syndromes. Among the topics addressed were the possible causes of these maladies, ongoing research, treatment and care for veterans, lessons learned, and future precautions. Some of the potential causes proposed were exposure to chemical weapons agents, exposure to petroleum combustion products, and unsafe vaccinations and immunizations.
