Representative Gibbons will serve as master of ceremony as a statue of Sarah Winnemucca is installed in Statuary Hall as Nevada’s second statue. It will be the 99th statue in the hall and the eighth woman. Sarah Winnemucca was a 19th century Native American educator and activist. During the ceremony a traditional Paiute blessing was given in the native Paitue language.
