The Georgetown University Law School held a forum on the legacy of Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. The panel discussed important cases in which Justice O’Connor played a pivotal role and assessed her legacy on the Court. Most of the panelists were former U.S. Supreme Court clerks or attorneys who had argued cases before her. Justice O’Connor was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Reagan in 1981 and she resigned last week after serving 24 terms on the Supreme Court. After their presentations the panelists answered audience members' questions. close
