State Department officials spoke about the issues and challenges of U.S. relations with Sub-Saharan Africa. Ambassador Cochran outlined the Africa policy priorities of the Obama administration which included strengthening democracies, supporting economic growth, and assisting in health issues. Assistant Secretary Carson moderated questions from the audience.
