The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee held a nomination hearing on President Obama’s nominees for the U.S. Coast Guard and Consumer Product Safety Commission. In the first panel, questions for Vice Admiral Paul Zukunft were primarily focused on BP’s Gulf of Mexico oil spill and lessons learned from it. In the second panel, consumer product safety nominees Elliot Kaye, and Joseph Mohorovic talked about child safety and all-terrain vehicle safety. close
